Jordan welcomed on Monday the agreement reached between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran to end military operations and commence detailed negotiations aimed at reaching a permanent agreement, considering it a significant step toward restoring regional and international security and stability.اضاÙØ© اعلان
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed Jordan’s appreciation for the efforts exerted by the sisterly Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the sisterly State of Qatar, and other sisterly and friendly nations to reach the agreement, as well as the responsiveness of both the United States and Iran to these efforts.
The Ministry emphasized the importance of reaching a permanent agreement that consolidates security and stability in the region, takes into account the security interests of regional states, adheres to the principles of good neighborliness, respects state sovereignty, avoids interference in internal affairs, and restores the security and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to its status prior to February 28, 2026.
The Ministry reiterated Jordan’s firm stance supporting the resolution of conflicts through diplomatic means in accordance with the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, as well as all regional and international efforts aimed at achieving security, stability, and prosperity for the peoples of the region and the world.
