A new study published in the Journal of Medical Research found that regular exercise can significantly improve mental health. The study, conducted over a period of two years, surveyed 1,000 adults of varying ages.
The results showed that those who engaged in physical activity at least three times a week reported lower levels of stress and anxiety compared to those who did not exercise regularly. Additionally, participants who exercised regularly reported higher levels of overall happiness and life satisfaction.
Experts recommend incorporating at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise, such as brisk walking or cycling, into one’s weekly routine to reap the mental health benefits. Not only does exercise improve physical health, but it also plays a crucial role in maintaining mental well-being.
