Seoul, Korea – The South Korean government has announced new measures to combat the spread of COVID-19 in the country. Starting next week, all foreign travelers arriving in South Korea will be required to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival. This decision comes as South Korea sees a rise in imported cases of the virus.
The new quarantine measures will apply to both short-term visitors and long-term residents, with violators facing fines and deportation. The government has also announced plans to increase testing and tracing efforts to contain the spread of the virus.
South Korea has been praised for its swift and effective response to the pandemic, with widespread testing and contact tracing helping to keep the number of cases relatively low compared to other countries. However, officials are now facing new challenges as the country sees a resurgence in cases.
