NWS: Third confirmed tornado Thursday ripped through SE Indiana, Boone County

The National Weather Service has confirmed another tornado from the storms that pushed through late Wednesday into Thursday morning.On Friday night, the NWS said a tornado started in Dearborn County at 12:14 a.m. Thursday, moved through Ohio County and ended in Boone County at 12:26 a.m.The tornado was classified as an EF2, according to the NWS.Officials said the tornado reached peak wind speed of 130 miles per hour and traveled for almost nine miles.The NWS said the first damage was reported on Texas Gas Road and last damage seen was on Belleview Road, just past the Indiana-Kentucky state line in Boone County. The tornado damaged at least one house, several outbuildings and took down trees in its path, including some trees that were snapped at their trunks.This marks the third confirmed tornado from Thursday morning's storms, which brought very strong winds, heavy rain that led to flash flooding and electrical outages for thousands of people.EF2 tornadoes have already been confirmed to have touched down in Franklin County, Indiana, and Mason County, Kentucky.
