Portugal vs. DR Congo
When: 10 a.m.Â
Where: Houston Stadium
Did you know? This is Cristiano Ronaldo's sixth World Cup. He leads Portugal, a team that has never won the tournament. Portugal's best performances to date are a third-place finish 1966 and a fourth-place finish in 2006.
The Democratic Republic of Congo is making their first appearance at the World Cup since 1974. Last time, they were known as the Zaire.
England vs. Croatia
When: 1 p.m.
Where: Dallas Stadium
Did you know? Croatia is the sixth smallest country in the World Cup with a population of about 3.8 million people. Croatia was the runner up in the 2018 tournament and finished third in 2022.
England and Croatia last played each other in the semifinals of the 2018 World Cup. Croatia beat England 2-1 in extra time, advancing them to the finals.Â
Ghana vs. PanamaÂ
When: 4 p.m.Â
Where: Toronto Stadium
Did you know? Wednesday's game will be Ghana and Panama's first matchup in international play. The 2026 World Cup is Ghana's fifth appearance in the tournament. It's Panama's second.
Ghana has not advanced out of the group stage since their 2010 miracle run, during which Ghana beat the U.S. 2-1 to secure a place in the knockout round and advance to the quarterfinal where Uruguay ended their quest.Â
Uzbekistan vs. Colombia
When: 7 p.m.
Where: Mexico City Stadium
Did you know? Colombia returns to the World Cup this year after failing to qualify in 2022. They are favored over first-time participant Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan is not without guidance in their first World Cup. The team is coached by former Italy captain and 2006 World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro.Â
How do I watch the World Cup games?
TV and streaming:
FOX and FS1 will broadcast all 104 games live in English.
- Â FOX will air 70 matches including the opening game, all knockout stage matches from the Round of 16 onward and the World Cup Final.
