A recent poll by Gallup found that compared to other wars that the United States has been involved in, 34% said they approved of the military action being taken in Iran.Â
In comparison to other wars, Americans appear to be in less support of the war in Iran than any other war the country has been involved in the past.

What's more, the lower percentages of those follow-up polls are almost within the same range as the initial percentage of approval for the Iran war.Â
- Iran, 2026: 35% approval
- Libya, 2011: 39% approval after follow-up (Initial approval rating: 47%)
- Haiti, 1994: 36% approval after follow-up (Initial approval rating: 54%)
Gallup noted that it did not have an initial approval rating for the Iran war, but cited that Indeed's poll it conducted in March found an approval rating among registered voters at 40%.Â
