COVID-19 Restrictions Eased in Jakarta

Authorities in Jakarta have announced the easing of COVID-19 restrictions starting next week. The decision comes as the number of new cases in the city continues to decline.

Starting Monday, restaurants and cafes will be allowed to operate at 50% capacity, while shopping malls can open at 75% capacity. Offices can also operate with 100% of their employees.

However, bars, nightclubs, and karaoke lounges will remain closed, and large gatherings will still be prohibited.

The Jakarta government is urging residents to continue following health protocols, such as wearing masks and practicing social distancing, to prevent a resurgence of cases.
