Bowen Yang & Matt Rogers Drop a Surprising Fact About Las Culturistas Culture Awards

With the 2026 edition of the Las Culturistas Culture Awards hitting Peacock and Bravo on June 17, hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers dropped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on June 11 to chat about the upcoming event. And its wild award categories. And the random prop that became the actual award during the event’s very first telecast in 2025.

Now in its fifth year, Yang and Rogers’ annual awards show perfectly captures the vibe of the duo’s popular Las Culturistas podcast, a love letter to all things pop culture.

Yang, who was a Saturday Night Live cast member from 2019 to 2025, and TODAY guest host Rogers graced the Late Night stage with a fantastic choreographed strut. The two broke some tough news to their ol’ “Day Drinking” buddy  Seth Meyers: Unlike last year, Meyers didn’t win “Best Vibe, Hands Down” again (“I think you just need to campaign harder next year,” Yang joked).

The Culture Award was a literal doorstop

Yang and Rogers also explained that historically, many of the Las Culturistas Culture Awards winners don’t get bring the physical award home with them.

“And in fact, it’s [just] a doorstop from West Elm,” Meyers said, sharing a site listing of the item. Yang and Rogers confirmed that they did, in fact, repurposed the high-end home goods store’s Geo Brass Metal Doorstop for the physical awards they hand out to winners.

But this year, there’s one problem.

“We have limited stock. They discontinued it,” Yang explained. “But we have some special agreement with West Elm where they maybe will hold some in inventory for us. But we really have to be even more judicious about who gets the awards.”

Meyers correctly pointed out that in most award shows, the winners get to keep a physical trophy. Rogers clarified that they have, in fact, had to chase down Las Culturistas Culture Award winners to retrieve those shiny doorstops in the past.

“Last year, Paige DeSorbo won the Allison Williams Cool Girl Award. And she got in her car with the award to drive and we had to flag Ms. Paige down and say, ‘That’s not yours, we need that,'” he revealed.
