COVID-19 Restrictions Eased in Jakarta

The Jakarta government has announced the easing of COVID-19 restrictions starting next week. Governor Anies Baswedan stated that the decision was made after considering the decreasing number of cases in the capital city.

Starting from Monday, restaurants, shopping malls, and places of worship will be allowed to operate at 50% capacity. However, strict health protocols such as mask-wearing and physical distancing must still be followed.

Public transportation will also resume normal operations, but with limited capacity to avoid crowding. The government emphasized the importance of individual responsibility in preventing a resurgence of cases.
