The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado had touched down in Beaver County following severe storms on Sunday. According to a public information statement on Monday, the NWS said a tornado was confirmed to have touched down near Beaver Falls. Another tornado was also confirmed near Anita in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania. The NWS said the EF-1 tornado reached up to 110 mph, with its path estimated to have traveled three miles. Officials also said a tornado was confirmed to have touched down in Columbiana County, Ohio. NWS Pittsburgh said an EF rating, path length, and additional details will be released either late Monday or early Tuesday. Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 will provide updates as they are made available.
