OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The two suspects arrested after a shooting near Levi Carter Park that injured three people were back in court.
Maurice Jones and Michael Jones, both 20, had preliminary hearings in Douglas County Court on Wednesday.
A judge found enough evidence to send both to District Court for trial on the same nine charges, including: discharging a firearm near a vehicle or building, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, and three counts of attempted assault.
Other charges include: possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, and failure to affix tax stamp, and tampering with physical evidence.

One of the hearings was delayed from last week so they could be held at the same time. Maurice Jones' bond is set at $5 million and Michael Jones' bond is set at $2 million.
The court appearances are in connection to a shooting just after 1 a.m. on April 19 near Carter Lake Shore Drive and Ames Avenue.
A 19-year-old woman and two 20-year-old men ended up in the hospital after the shooting.
The two men, who police have confirmed are brothers, were 19 years old at the time of the incident.
