WHO Declares Coronavirus a Public Health Emergency

The World Health Organization (WHO) has officially declared the novel coronavirus outbreak a public health emergency of international concern. This decision was made due to the rapid spread of the virus to countries outside of China, where it originated.

The WHO has issued recommendations to help countries prepare for and respond to the outbreak. These recommendations include increased monitoring, prevention measures, and coordination among nations to control the spread of the virus.

Health officials are continuing to closely monitor the situation and are urging the public to practice good hygiene habits, such as frequent handwashing, to protect themselves and others from the virus.
