‘Gulfcoasting’ with the Mighty Mussels: $5 tickets and Friday fireworks return for 2026
FORT MYERS, Fla. —
Jason Drew went “Gulfcoasting” at Hammond Stadium with Mussel Man and managing partner John Martin, where the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels announced a major move to keep baseball affordable for families across Southwest Florida.
Beginning today, June 9, and continuing through the end of the regular season, general admission tickets will cost just $5, cutting the usual price in half. Parking remains at $10, and full meals at concession stands stay under $15 — all part of the team's renewed commitment to what Martin calls “affordable family fun.”
Martin told Jason that when the current ownership group took over in 2022, their top priority was enhancing the fan experience without raising costs. He said these are challenging economic times for many families, and the team doesn't want ticket prices to stand in the way of a night at the ballpark. He also shared that some of his favorite childhood memories were made at baseball games, and he wants every child on the Gulf Coast to have that same opportunity.
Fans will also be happy to hear that Friday night fireworks are returning. The Mussels were forced to cancel several shows earlier this season due to a countywide burn ban, but with the ban lifted, fireworks will once again light up the sky after every Friday home game starting June 12.
The upcoming homestand is packed with themed nights and special promotions, including Turn 2'sday deals on drinks and hot dogs, Silver Sluggers perks for seniors, educator appreciation as part of the Mussel Up for the Community series, Happy Hour and live music before Friday's fireworks, Margaritaville Night, Bark in the Park, Storm Ready Night, and a Sunday lineup featuring brunch, Kids Catch on the Field, Kids Run the Bases, and free Sunday tickets for children 14 and under.
Mighty Mussels games are played at Hammond Stadium inside the Lee Health Sports Complex in Fort Myers, and tickets are available at the box office or online at MightyMussels.com. With lower prices, returning fireworks, and new family‑friendly features, the Mighty Mussels are doubling down on making baseball accessible, exciting, and memorable for fans all summer long.
