The summer heat is here as isolated showers and thunderstorms develop along the Atlantic sea breeze.
Current Feels Like temperatures are hovering around 95 degrees as the thermometer shows 90. Temperatures will increase Friday and this weekend with heat indices reaching 105-110 degrees. Heat Advisories will be possible this weekend.
Along with the heat, afternoon showers and thunderstorms will become widespread. Isolated activity this evening will linger through around 8 p.m. Showers with isolated storms will develop Friday afternoon with increasing coverage expected Saturday and Sunday.
Locally heavy rainfall will be possible with stronger thunderstorms this weekend with increasing totals next week. The Gulf breeze wakes up next week and will be a key to our afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
Tonight: Evening showers and thunderstorms will fade around 8 p.m. Mostly clear to partly cloudy skies with light patchy fog.
Friday: Whew, it's hot! Becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers possible, 20 percent. Morning lows in the 70s. Afternoon highs in the 80s along the beaches, 90s inland. Feels Like temperatures 100-105 degrees. Wind: SW 10-15 mph.
Weekend: Possible heat advisories. Increasing rain chances with widespread 90s. Feels Like temperatures 105-110. Lows in the 70s. Cool off along the beaches with highs in the 80s while inland areas reach the mid to upper 90s. Rain chances 40-60 percent. Wind: W/SW 5-10 mph.
