Kai Cenat finally spoke up about his extended absence from streaming, using a now-deleted Twitter Q&A to give fans a direct answer on his return timeline.
Cenat kept it short and sweet with three simple words: “When it’s time.†He later spoke about the current state of streaming, saying that it “needs more inspiration,” and making it clear that he would “never lose passion for streaming.”
In some of his last responses, Cenat claimed that he felt “better than ever†and everything would “all make sense†when he returned to being in front of the camera.
Cenat’s last broadcast came at the close of his Mafiathon 3 event, nearly eight months ago.
In April, Cenat got fans excited when he suggested that he'd be returning with a new Mafiathon event. In a post shared on his Instagram Stories via a secret account, Cenat wrote, Mafia reunion.â€
Back in January, Cenat dropped a mysterious, lengthy video announcing “I quit†that wasn't necessarily him announcing the end of his time streaming — but was more of a soft reveal for his clothing brand, Vivet, that he's currently working on.
In the video, Cenat expressed his wish to be known for more than just streaming, and announced that he was quitting “overthinking†and “staying in my head about the goals I have and if I pursue them.â€
Later on in the video, Cenat gave the world glimpses of Vivet as he documented the process of sewing and creating denim.
Expanding on his work on Vivet, Cenat shared a special way that he channels negativity into motivation online in a YouTube video shared in March.
While walking through an ancient Italian villa where he's been working on designs for Vivet, Cenat revealed his “hate wall.†The wall had printed-out social media posts from haters who mocked him for transitioning into fashion.
“I want to show you guys the power to embrace hate. Embracing hate, you guys can find ways to weaponize it,†he said in the video. “I used to struggle with caring about what people thought.â€
