JAKARTA – Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) striker Ousmane Dembele has promised to be fit for the Champions League final against Arsenal.
The Ballon d’Or winner was replaced after 27 minutes in a 1-2 defeat against Paris FC on Sunday, May 18, 2026, which raised doubts about his involvement in the Champions League final in Budapest on May 30, 2026.
However, Dembele, who has had an injury-plagued season, promised to be ready to play at the Puskas Arena against English League champions Arsenal.
“I’m fine. I was a little worried when I played against Paris FC, but I’m fine. I’ll be ready for the Champions League final.”
“Will I be 100 percent fit for the final? Yes, yes, I think so, yes, I will be ready. I have no doubt at all, I hope to be on the field on May 30, 2026.”
“I’ve had a lot of minor injuries or serious injuries in my career, both at PSG and before, especially with the big games to come, especially this final.”
“I prefer to stop and most importantly not to take any risks,” Dembele told French television station RMC Sport.
Dembele has scored 19 goals in 39 appearances for PSG this season, including seven goals on the way to the Champions League final, which they will attempt to defend against Arsenal next week.
