Severe weather warning issued for parts of Indonesia
Jakarta – The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued a severe weather warning for several regions in Indonesia. The warning is in effect for areas in Java, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, and Papua, with heavy rain, strong winds, and potential flooding expected in the coming days.
The BMKG advises residents in these areas to take precautions and stay updated on the latest weather forecasts. They also recommend securing loose objects, avoiding travel if possible, and being prepared for possible evacuation if necessary.
This warning comes as Indonesia enters the peak of the rainy season, which typically lasts from November to March. The BMKG urges the public to remain vigilant and prioritize safety during this time.
